Lastly, I would like to share with you all one weekend goal to get you on your way to a long-awaited task to be completed. Along with five tips to help!

Here it comes!

Declutter Your Space

You may be looking at a cluttered closet, storage or room you have been meaning to tackle for a long time but just haven’t had a chance to get to it. You may be annoyed by now by just seeing the site of it, and at this point you say to yourself: I’ve had it! I can’t stand the site anymore! Along with starting to dig and throw things around. Stop. Before you do that, here are some tips to help you get organized and not tire yourself right away.

· Start Small and Prioritize Areas

  • Begin with a small, manageable area like a drawer, a shelf, or a corner of a room.  Prioritize areas that you use most frequently or that cause you the most  stress when cluttered. Focusing on small sections prevents feeling      overwhelmed and provides a sense of accomplishment.

· Use the Four-Box Method

  • Label four boxes as "Keep," "Donate," "Trash," and "Relocate." As you go through your items, sort them into these boxes. This method helps you make quick decisions and ensures that every item has a place. Be honest with yourself about what you truly need and use.

· Adopt the 12-12-12 Challenge

  • Find 12 items to throw away, 12 items to donate, and 12 items to put back in their proper place. This challenge is a fun and straightforward way to kickstart your decluttering process and can be done periodically to maintain order.

· Set a Timer

  • Dedicate a specific amount of time, such as 15-30 minutes, to decluttering each day.  Setting a timer helps you stay focused and makes the task less daunting.  You’d be surprised how much you can accomplish in a short, dedicated time period.

· Create a Maintenance Routine

  • After decluttering, establish a daily or weekly routine to maintain the      organization. Spend a few minutes each day tidying up and putting things      back in their designated places. Regular maintenance prevents clutter from  accumulating again and keeps your space consistently organized.

Whew! Now you can look at your new space with the feeling of relief and feeling proud and accomplished. Go have that nice sip of wine, tea, or just simply relax to something you love doing. Have a great weekend and I hope you are refreshed and ready for next week!

Here is your Upcoming goal for next week:

Set a Daily Intention of a mindful goal.

Here is one to get you going:

Each morning, set a positive intention for the day. It could be something simple like "I will stay present" or "I will practice patience."

- Jennifer

It's Friday and you just tackled the week!
